04.18.2004 // LATE NIGHT / EARLY MORNING

If you drop your eyes down just a bit you will notice that Jack and Loretta will be performing on the Late Show with David Letterman on May 3rd. Well, according to Mr. Ben Blackwell of the Dirtbombs/Cass Records/the White Stripes mailing list, they will also be performing bright and early on the Today Show, on May 5th. So if you don't usually get up early, you better set your alarm clock! Hopefully videos of these two performances will end up in the downloads section.

04.17.2004 // MORE ON JACK AND LORETTA

Portland, Oregon, the duet between Jack and Loretta Lynn is available to be streamed along with a few other songs on her upcoming album, Van Lear Rose, due April 27th. I can't speak for the whole album, but Portland, Oregon sure has a White Stripes vibe to it. The song really rocks to be quite honest. Here, have a listen.

04.13.2004 // PORTLAND, OREGON

A song on the upcoming Loretta Lynn album is getting some airplay on some stations across the US. The song, "Portland, Oregon" is a duet between Loretta and Jack. I have heard the song and can vouch for it. It really is a great song and they both sound amazing. So keep your ears peeled to the radio, as you will not want to miss it.

03.27.2004 // JACK RANTS A BIT

Jack recently spoke to the Associated Press about Loretta Lynn, making films and hopping on stage with the one and only Bob Dylan. To read the interview, click here.

Many thanks to Leslie over at Amp United for providing me with a copy of the Stripe's latest single, There's No Home For You Here. The b-side medley, I Fought Piranhas / Let's Build A Home is better than expected. That's a fact, Jack. Grab a copy of this 7'' vinyl only single if you get the chance! If you don't already have a record player... get one! Also, the new single has been added to the discography page. Click here to check it out.

03.18.2004 // JACK JOINS BOB! / GUITAR WORLD INTERVIEW

Last night, March 17 was a very special night. Bob Dylan was playing his final of three shows in Detroit. During the encore Jack joined Mr. Dylan on stage and they did a version of the Elephant track, Ball and Biscuit! For the fans in attendance that had to be an amazing treat. Don't believe me? Well, have a listen for yourself!

The May issue of Guitar World will be one you will want to pick up. Jack is on the cover as well as giving them an interview. To check out the cover, click here.

03.10.2004 // BUYER BEWARE!

You may have noticed some online music stores selling a UK import vinyl picture disc of the debut album. While it looks real, it's not. It is a bootleg, and not an official release by XL Recordings. Lennat at Triple Tremelo confirmed this by sending an email to XL asking about its validity. They replied back with "Yes, it looks pretty professional..steer clear of the fakes!".

So please, do not waste your money on this this bootleg.

03.03.2004 // CH-CH-CH-CH-CHANGES

Apparently, the b-side to the upcoming single 'There's No Home For You Here' has been changed at the last minute. Ball and Biscuit was so long, it would not fit on the 7 inch vinyl. So in it's place is a medley of 'I Fought Piranhas / Lets Build A Home'. Like Ball and Biscuit, the medley was also recorded at the Electric Lady studio in New York.
