RE: THE DEAD WEATHER BONNAROO APPEARANCE

Jack and his Dead Weather bandmates played a wet Bonnaroo set last evening. This is from Spinner.com:

"As the Dead Weather approached the main stage at Bonnaroo, an ominous-looking storm cloud had begun to settle over the town of Manchester, Tenn., bringing a much-needed rain shower to festivalgoers.

"Just remember which band brought the rain today," said Dead Weather drummer Jack White.

Fresh off releasing their second studio album 'Sea of Cowards' -- less than a year after their debut record 'Horehound' hit number six on the Billboard charts -- White, along with lead singer Alison Mosshart, guitarist Dean Fertita and bassist Jack Lawrence, ripped through an hour-and-a-half set featuring tracks 'I Cut Like a Buffalo,' 'Hustle and Cuss' and 'Die By the Drop,' among others.

But when White stepped out from behind his drumming post to play lead guitar on 'Will There Be Enough Water?' and 'I Can't Hear You,' the crowd went into a frenzy. 'Water' ended the Weather's regular set as Mosshart exchanged lines with White, who ended the track with an intense feedback-filled solo. 'I Can't Hear You' had all four members stepping to the front as a drum machine provided the backing beat.

By the time the Dead Weather finished, the rain had subsided, bringing in a cool breeze. But something tells me that fans will remember more about this set than just the weather."
