09.14.07 // UPCOMING US AND UK TOUR CANCELLED

I apologize for posting this so late. I have been out of town and unable to update the website. For those who have not heard, the upcoming tour dates in the US as well as the UK have been cancelled due to Meg's acute anxiety. She is unable to travel at this time. This is taken from the official White Stripes website:

"The White Stripes have canceled all remaining tour dates through the end of the year, this includes all dates in the UK this Fall. They thank you for your understanding and well wishes.

Fans can obtain refunds for their tickets at point of purchase, except for Austin City Limits Festival which is nonrefundable due to it being a festival. If you purchased your tickets for any of the canceled shows via a fan pre-sale on the band's web site, please email tix@musictoday.com for refunds.

The White Stripes sincerely apologize to their fans.
"We hate to let people down and are very sorry."

Jack and Meg are featured on the cover of this month's issue of Harp Magazine. Here is a snippet of the interview inside:

"Jack has given up Detroit to live in Nashville. He has a family and a yard and seems happy. He works hard. He has imported not just Meg, with whom is he is rehearsing for the next White Stripes tour (Meg, too, has shuffled out of the Motor City and now calls L.A. home), but also his other band, the Raconteurs, who are rehearsing for a new record and tour."

07.24.07 // BOSTON SHOW REVIEW

Check out this review from last night's show from Boston.com:

"Either they turned off the air conditioning at the Agganis Arena last night or the White Stripes were just that hot.

Whatever the source of the humidity, Detroit rock royalty Jack and Meg White used it to their advantage to replace the impersonal hockey rink vibe with a boisterious, close-quarters club feel. (The general admission floor, where people were very well behaved, helped, too.)"
