"Hello Children,
The White Stripes will play an intimate show at the Cannery Ballroom in Nashville, TN this Friday, May 18th. This will be Jack and Meg's first performance since December 2005. Tickets will be available exclusively through the band's website via the presale link located at the top of the "shows" page starting at noon CST, Thursday, May 17th. There is a 2 ticket limit per person and the show is open to all fans 18 years of age and older.
The Nashville Creme music blog has some info regarding the music video for Icky Thump:
"According to a top-secret Cream source, The White Stripes are finishing up work on the video for "Icky Thump" out at the Tennessee State Penitentiary (also the setting for such films as The Green Mile and The Last Castle ). The video is set in "Mexico" and the crew assembled a makeshift Mexican town on the grounds of the prison. Word is it looks pretty cool and Jack White is super nice."

The White Stripes' first single, 'Icky Thump', will be available exclusively online through the iTunes music stores (US and Canada only) starting at 12:01 am this Thursday, April 26th.
Third Man Records/XL Recordings will also be releasing CD and vinyl versions of the 'Icky Thump' single on June 11th in the UK. The formats and track listings are as follows:
White vinyl 7" (companion to the NME distributed record that will be given away with copies of the magazine on stands June 6th)
A. Icky Thump
B. Etching (no audio)
The White Stripes are set to release the first new material from forthcoming album 'Icky Thump' exclusively with NME.
Jack and Meg White 's new album will be released on June 18. However, beforehand the pair will release the track 'Rag And Bone' on a special seven-inch vinyl that will come exclusively for free with the issue of NME out on June 6.
The track will be pressed onto red vinyl, while the flipside will feature a etching designed exclusively by Jack White and will come in special gatefold packaging featuring more artwork by the band.
