03.27.04 // JACK RANTS A BIT |
Jack recently spoke to the Associated Press about Loretta Lynn, making films and hopping on stage with the one and only Bob Dylan. To read the interview, click here.
Many thanks to Leslie over at Amp United for providing me with a copy of the Stripe's latest single, There's No Home For You Here. The b-side medley, I Fought Piranhas / Let's Build A Home is better than expected. That's a fact, Jack. Grab a copy of this 7'' vinyl only single if you get the chance! If you don't already have a record player... get one! Also, the new single has been added to the discography page. Click here to check it out.

03.18.04 // JACK JOINS BOB! / GUITAR WORLD INTERVIEW |
Last night, March 17 was a very special night. Bob Dylan was playing his final of three shows in Detroit. During the encore Jack joined Mr. Dylan on stage and they did a version of the Elephant track, Ball and Biscuit! For the fans in attendance that had to be an amazing treat. Don't believe me? Well, have a listen for yourself!
The May issue of Guitar World will be one you will want to pick up. Jack is on the cover as well as giving them an interview. To check out the cover, click here.

03.10.04 // BUYER BEWARE! |
You may have noticed some online music stores selling a UK import vinyl picture disc of the debut album. While it looks real, it's not. It is a bootleg, and not an official release by XL Recordings. Lennat at Triple Tremelo confirmed this by sending an email to XL asking about its validity. They replied back with
"Yes, it looks pretty professional..steer clear of the fakes!".
So please, do not waste your money on this this bootleg.

03.03.04 // CH-CH-CH-CH-CHANGES |
Apparently, the b-side to the upcoming single 'There's No Home For You Here' has been changed at the last minute. Ball and Biscuit was so long, it would not fit on the 7 inch vinyl. So in it's place is a medley of 'I Fought Piranhas / Lets Build A Home'. Like Ball and Biscuit, the medley was also recorded at the Electric Lady studio in New York.

02.19.04 // SWEETHEARTS OF THE BLUES |
Denise Sullivan has written a biography on our dynamic duo entitled "The White Stripes - Sweethearts of the Blues": It is a fine read, with lots of great pictures of Jack during his stint in The Go and 2 Star Tabernacle, among some more recent photos.
It also features interviews with people like Johnny Walker, Ben Swank, Oliver Henry, Holly Golightly and others. To order this book, click here.
Also, if you head on over to Triple Tremelo, Lennat has a contest going on where you could win your very own copy of "Sweethearts of the Blues". Good luck!
