DOWNLOADS UPDATED

Well I finally got around to doing an update on the downloads page. I rotated in an older, classic live show. Along with a recent interview from 99X in Atlanta, GA that the band did. The live show is from 9.16.99 and it features Jack White on vocals along with The Bricks. The Bricks consisted of Brendan Benson, Ben Blackwell (Dirtbombs) and Kevin Peyok (Waxwings). You will notice they play songs that will eventually appear on White Blood Cells and even Elephant. I will put up another new video soon and take down the last Conan video. So if you have been waiting around to download that I would suggest you do it soon. Click here to grab the goodies.

SINGLE NEWS / THE STRIPES AT THE ZOO

The new single will be The Hardest Button to Button. A video will be shot next month. As of right now the band has not decided on what director to go with.

FAQ - VERSION 4 NOW UP

The Unofficial White Stripes FAQ - Version 4 is now up on the band info page. Check it out. There is lots of good information in there regarding the band. Lots of common questions can be answered. I want to say thanks to Twitch from the Little Room for all his help with the FAQ. He simply does an amazing job at compiling all the information and laying it out so organized. It sure is a beast. Read up and enjoy boys and girls. Click here to check it out.

FAN ART UPDATE

I added some more fan art this evening. I want to thank Federico from Argentina for sending me his illustration of Jack White. Pretty cool illustration if I do say so myself. If you want to be apart of the "Fan Art Hall of Fame" simply send me an email and attach your drawing or graphic. Click here for the fan art page.

Of course this will be down the road. But I am in the beginning stages of a Videography type page that will house info on the videos along with screen captures of each. Hopefully I can get this completed sometime in the not too distant future.

NEW TOUR DATES AND ARTICLE POSTED

A couple of new tour dates were added to the tour page. Along with that, some updated ticket and venue info were added as well. Check it all out here.

A must read article on the White Stripes is now up on the articles page. It was written by Brian McCollum of the Detroit Free Press. It's a huge article that does a great job of telling the story of the White Stripes from the beginning to where they are now. It includes quotes from all kinds of people including Brian Muldoon, Ben Blackwell, John Peel and others. A wonderful read. Check it out here.

2ND ELEPHANT SINGLE - BLACK MATH ?

Well there have been some rumblings that Black Math will be selected as the second single off of Elephant. Apparently there has been a video shot at the Masonic Temple in April. Here is a blurb from the Detroit Free Press

" Viewers will likely float in and out, but expect the largest crowd for the premiere of Anthony Garth's "Black Math" (8:18 p.m.), the new White Stripes video filmed at the Masonic Temple in April. What makes this different from the usual live performance video, Garth says, is that he bled all the color out of the film except the reds, in keeping with the red-and-white color scheme that has become the band's visual trademark."

MY HOMETOWN

Sorry, but it is hard to not be just a tad selfish right now in this update. As today, the White Stripes added Cincinnati to the tour schedule. With that being home for myself, I already have plans set in stone to attend. A White Stripes concert on a Saturday night. How can you go wrong. Oh yea, they were some other tour dates also announced. As always, head on over to the tour page for the complete list of dates so far. But stay tuned, it seems every few days a couple more dates pop up here and there. Keep checking Ticketmaster for updated purchase dates.

Hope to see some of you Candy Cane Children at the Cincinnati show!
