07.28.2005 // MIDTOWN MUSIC FESTIVAL DOWNLOAD

Finally got around to fixing the problem I was having and with that, I have uploaded the band's performance at Atlanta's Midtown Music Festival on June 10th, 2005. Keep in mind this is a crowd recording so it's not the best quality. However, it is better than nothing. Also, I have uploaded a much better version of Jack and Meg's interview on NPR. "WHITE STRIPES will play a UK tour in November, NME.COM can exclusively reveal.

The duo, who headlined last month's Glastonbury Festival , will play a string of dates across the UK, visiting:

• London Alexandra Palace (8-9)
• Blackpool Empress Ballroom (10-11)
• Glasgow Academy (13,14,15)
• Manchester Apollo (17)

07.15.2005 // GREECE GIG CUT SHORT

"THE WHITE STRIPES were forced to abandon a gig in Greece after strong winds resulted in injury to a crew member.

The duo were playing the Olympic Beach Volleyball Stadium in Athens on their last night of their tour of the country when heavy winds caused the trusses holding the lights to bend, risking collapse of the lighting and the stage itself."

"WHITE STRIPES have confirmed details of their new single 'MY DOORBELL' .

The track, the second to be lifted from their current album 'Get Behind Me Satan' , will be released on August 8.

Additional tracks across the formats include live versions of 'Screwdriver' and 'Same Boy You've Always Known' , recorded at the Teatro Amazones in Manaus , Brazil.

The band are currently on tour, with UK shows expected before the end of the year."
