Here
in CIncinnati, Ohio we have a kick
ass radio station by the name of
WOXY
97X. It is a non-corporate owned
radio station. Simply put, they
play good music. A lot of good indie/underground
stuff. They just released their
97 Best of 2002 list. Who topped
the list you ask? None other than
the White Stripes and their latest
album White Blood Cells. To see
the complete list click here.
If you like good music, I highly
advise you to listen to the streaming
broadcast of this station. You won't
be dissapointed.
Jack White performed in Detroit
at the C-Pop Gallery on Friday,
December 20th along with such
bands as The Waxwings, The Come-Ons
and Blanche. All did Christmas
Tunes. Jack performed the Elvis
song "One Night With You"
with Ben Swank on drums. Meg was
also in attendance. I was lucky
enough to obtain an MP3 of this.
If you want it, which I am sure
you do, head on over to downloads
now!
I just wanted to wish everyone
a very Merry Christmas. I hope
you all have a happy and safe
holiday. Also, thank you so much
for helping me make this site
a big success. It is a lot of
fun to be a part of the White
Stripes community in some way.
If you head on over to the download
page you will notice I added a
new show for everyone. The show
added was the 3/13/02 Malmo show.
I think you all will enjoy.
Via
the label V2 the White Stripes will
release a special Christmas 7''.
Included on the single will be "Candy
Cane Children" and "Silent
Night". To order this limited
release click here.
"I thought it was going to
be quieter, but it ended up being
this really intense rock & roll
record" Jack White says of
the group's fourth album. Drummer
Meg White sings one song entirely
on her own ('In the Cold, Cold Night');
the duo is joined by English garage-rock
dame Holly Golightly on another
and on some, Jack plays octave guitar,
which make the songs sound like
they have bass lines. Jack says
the album's title alludes to a balance
between power and innocence. "Which
is like me and Meg's contrast in
the band," he says. "An
Elephant has the two of our personalities
in one creature."
Well now doesn't that sound sweet.
We now have another confirmed song
title, "In the Cold, Cold Night
and tentative release date, April
2003. Hopefully soon we will have
a confirmed release date and we
can start the "Elephant Countdown".
Also, I added the featured article
from the September 2002 issue of
Mojo Magazine to the articles section.

Oh, and also, some new downloads
will be up soon. Stay tuned.

Springs. Also included is a DVD

Also, sorry for the lack of updates
lately. News has slowed down a bit
in the world of the White Stripes.
For a while there it was hard to
keep up! Also, me and the wife had
baby number one on 11/6. Emma Marie
was born at 8:25 am that morning.
Exciting times for me! However,
during the downtime for the Stripes,
why not head over to the Little
Room to talk to lots of other
Stripes fans.
The White Stripes are up for
the best live act in the 13th
Annual Q Awards! I have seen many
concerts in my 25 years on Earth
and in all honesty I have never
been to a better live show. The
two times I witnessed this amazing
band perform I was blown away
each time. An hour and a half
of pure Rock n' Roll bliss. Have
not seen them live yet? Well,
take my word on this one. To vote
